To make the “Spring Girl” doll, you will need padding polyester, nylon tights, a pair of eyes, flesh-colored threads, fabric and ribbons to create the doll’s outfit, as well as safety pins to secure the nylon base of the product. Similar souvenirs are sewn using similar technology, however, there are many options for frames for them. So you can find wire frames, paper frames covered with padding polyester or bottle frames. I used a bottle frame in my product, as it is the most stable and looks aesthetically pleasing.
You can pour some beans or peas into the bottle frame; this manipulation will easily turn your doll into a rattle that brings happiness and success.Such rattling dolls are called tryndychikha dolls; most often they are dressed in Russian folk costumes and attributes of household utensils. Such tryndychikhs, house-wives and brownie wives evoke sympathy among the fair sex, serve as a good gift and make any home more comfortable.
You should start making a padding polyester doll by creating the head. To do this, cut off the toe-heel area from nylon tights, as well as the upper, denser part. The resulting “pipe” is filled with padding polyester. The top of the tights is secured with threads or tied with a knot. It is very important to prepare the padding polyester by first tearing it into small pieces before decorating the head. Next, we apply small balls under the nylon to the head - these are the future cheeks, nose, forehead and chin.
We take up the thread and needle. By making symmetrical punctures and tightening, we form the nose of the future doll. We repeat all seams at least twice so that the outlines of the face do not unravel. It is customary to make such dolls snub-nosed, so don’t worry if the nose is not perfectly symmetrical and regular in shape; slight errors are allowed in this case.
We do the cheeks and chin in the same way.
Attach the eyes. You can make them yourself or purchase them in a store. The eyes are attached perfectly with transparent glue, the main thing is to place them symmetrically. We draw eyebrows above the eyes; you can cut out strips from small pieces of nylon that will serve as eyelids for the finished eyes. Also, the creators of these souvenirs often resort to using false eyelashes.
Hair is best made from wool threads. We attach such threads to the head using flesh-colored threads, thereby forming a parting.
I attach the head to the bottle frame with safety pins, which can be carefully pulled out later. Colorless glue is also suitable for this procedure. We sew clothes and make pens. The handles are two tubes of fabric filled with padding polyester.
We apply makeup using the most ordinary blush and eye shadow. Our doll is ready!
