A fairy tale, a legend embodied in a real book made by the mother’s hands, will allow the child to be proud of working with parents. He will carefully flip through the pages of the book, the creation of which was spent more than one evening. Such a book would be a good birthday present for a friend.
Try to make the book "The Legend of a River", which will plunge your baby into the mythical past. Step-by-step instructions will help you quickly complete the task and show publishing creativity.
For work, we need a folder-folder, a lot of beads, shells, a skein of thread, glue, scissors, marine-themed fabric, files, twigs of dried plants, paper, penny coins. In a word, everything related to the theme of the sea, river.
With a marine motif we wrap the folder on all sides. We fix with glue or threads.
The fabric is draped a bit, imitating a river wave.
Next is the cover decoration. Below we glue small shells, pearl beads, twigs from ornamental plants on PVA glue, imitating the river and sea bottom.
We place the text of the legend on the left page. We make out the sheet with paper with various patterns, illustrations, a small shell rock, glued with PVA.
On the right page we put the figure of the greedy Nile. It can be drawn, cut from magazines. Slaves near the Nile - figures painted. We decorate clothes with shiny fabric from the Nile and simple bandages from the slaves. Denoting the greed of the Nile, we place a lot of coins in the upper right and lower left corners. To create a landscape, paste dry branches of thuja, foliage, etc.
On the left we place the text of the legend.
For images of unprecedented animals and birds, figures of people we use cut figures from old magazines. We will depict lush vegetation of that time with the help of dry branches of various herbs glued to PVA. The palm tree is cut out of paper, the crown is made of thuja branches. The sun and the cloud are made of thread wound on cardboard and glued PVA. The rays of the sun are made of straw. Flowers are made of corrugated paper folded several times. Therefore, the image is voluminous.
On the left page is the continuation of the text of the legend.
We portray angry gods. The figures of Zeus and Neptune are drawn. You can cut illustration from magazines. Zeus beard made of cotton. On the head there is a laurel wreath made of thuja branches. Rich clothes can be made from brocade fabric, braid with trim. Neptune has a trident, tail and bracelets made of beads of different colors. We glue the beads on the PVA-coated paper, simply by sprinkling it inside the contour and gently pressing it with your finger for quick gluing. Below, at the feet of the gods, we have the figure of a greedy Nile in simpler clothes.
We show the richness of the seabed or river on the fabric that decorated the cover of the book. In unlimited quantities we glue small shells. For the body of the turtle, dolphin, starfish, we use multi-colored beads. We surround the page with a pattern of paper at our discretion. In our case, this is a decorative element for wallpaper.
