The Dragonfly brooch is very simple to manufacture and in order to make it, you need only basic knowledge of working with beads. Even a child familiar with needlework can handle it.
To make this brooch, you need 7 beads in the shape of a crystal with a diameter of 3 mm. It is better if they are white or light green. 2 more same beads, only dark green. This will be the abdomen of a dragonfly. And also 2 round big beads for her eyes. Wings are best made from translucent beads of golden or silver color.
A thin copper wire is also needed.
You need to start work from the torso. On a wire 25 centimeters long, you need to string a bead and bend the wire.
Then you need to string on two ends at once.
Alternate light crystal beads with small beads, and at the end also string dark beads.
To make dragonfly eyes, string round beads on each end of the wire.
You need to fix it with a small bead, putting it on one end of the wire, and then threading the second end into it.
The body of the dragonfly is ready.
The wings are braided in two on one wire by the parallel weaving method, threading into the same beads first one end of the wire, then the other.
Remember to tighten the wire so that the wing is stiff.
After 14 rows, the wing is finished.
Wrap the ends of the wire between the beads of the body and begin to weave the second wing in the same way.
