We will turn a regular record into an original and colorful watch.
To work, we need:
1. Vinyl record.
2. Contours for glass and ceramics.
3. The brush.
4. Acrylic paint and varnish.
Step 1. We soak the label from the plate and carefully skim the remaining paper to achieve a smooth surface.
Step 2. Paint the surface of the circle with paint in circular motions of the brush. If you want to get an opaque background, you first need to prime the surface with white acrylic. In this case, there is no primer, so the background turned out with dark scuffs. After drying the paint, apply a layer of varnish and dry with a warm hairdryer.
Step 3. Take the contour and set the first row of points along the entire circumference. The points should be large and at an equal distance from each other. To get even points, hold the tube in your fingers, like an ordinary handle, placing the nose vertically to the surface, and adjust the size of the point with the force of squeezing.
Step 4. We are waiting for the first row to dry (about 20 minutes) and draw the second and third rows of points. Make sure that the rows and dots do not merge with each other.
Step 5. We begin to draw the next row of points in a circle visible on the plate.
Step 6. We wait for all the rows to dry completely, apply a dial template that is suitable for the size of the plate, and mark the numbers with a soft pencil.
Step 7. Using a ruler, make a markup for the numbers with an outline, placing small dots within a large circle.
Step 8. We draw sketches of numbers with small dots. If this does not work out, then after drying the dots are easy to erase and draw again. If you liked the sketch, then draw the numbers with large dots.
Step 9. After the dial is drawn and dried, draw another row of large points along the track of the outer edge of the plate.
Step 10. We decorate our watches with Indian paisley ornament. The ornament is drawn with a volume contour for glass with sparkles. We draw the figure with solid dots to get a thick line. While the contour is moist, it is white, after drying (about 40 minutes), the lines become transparent and voluminous with interspersed sparkles.
Step 11 and the last.
We make the outline of the ornament along the inner and outer parts with the usual contours, putting small dots as close to each other as possible. We insert the clockwork and admire the result!
